Product Overview
NHXLC Fire-Resistant Compact Busway not only retains the electrical advantages of insulated busways, but also features unique fire-resistant properties. It utilizes high-quality copper busbars as conductive material, insulated with mica and high-strength ceramic materials. The busway enclosure employs a dual-layer thermal barrier, with both internal and external components treated with fire-resistant materials. This busway can maintain continuous operation for no less than 90 minutes when the ambient temperature reaches 960° C. It possesses non-toxic and pollution-free characteristics, while also preventing water penetration during firefighting operations.
Structural characteristics
● Inherits the same "sandwich" compact laminated phase conductor structure as the "XLC Series", resulting in a compact busway profile with minimal footprint. The system delivers low impedance, reduced voltage drop, and excellent dynamic/thermal stability, while eliminating any risk of "chimney effect" during fire events.
● The enclosure is constructed from cold-formed thin-wall steel profiles. Its side panels feature our proprietary double-layer hollow structure, which utilizes sealed cavities to block hightemperature gases or direct flames from penetrating the busway interior. The surface receives galvanization plus fire-resistant coating (when exposed to fire, this coating expands at exponential rates to form a dense carbonized insulation layer, sealing all enclosure gaps against heat penetration).

◎ Insulation Configuration
● NHXLC Series Busway Fire-Resistant Insulation System utilizes alumina high-temperature ceramic components for insulation support, capable of withstanding temperatures up to 1000 ° C. The copper busbar conductors are insulated with a composite wrapping of polyimide (commonly known as "gold tape") and high-temperature mica tape. Polyimide, recognized as the most advanced insulation material in the electrical industry, offers excellent high-temperature resistance and dielectric properties with a dielectric strength ≥ 22,000V and no toxic gas emissions under extreme heat. The mica tape withstands 960-1000 ° C for 1.5 hours, meeting Class A fire resistance requirements per IEC 60331-3-8 and GB 12666.6 standards.

● Water Resistance Performance: Encapsulated with high-performance insulating resin, the system demonstrates exceptional airtightness and watertightness, achieving IP68 protection rating - the highest level that prevents dust ingress and ensures long-term reliable operation even during continuous submersion.
● Fire Resistance Performance: The self-extinguishing insulating resin material achieves Class A fire resistance with F120 fire rating, maintaining circuit integrity for over 90 minutes in 950-1000° C flames. Being halogen-free, it releases no toxic fumes under hightemperature conditions.
● Corrosion Resistance Performance: Unlike metal-enclosed busways vulnerable to acid rain corrosion, the cast epoxy resin formulation provides superior chemical resistance, effectively withstanding corrosive gases from chemical plants and splash exposure to corrosive liquids.
Scope of application
NHXLC Fire-Resistant Busway is designed for power distribution systems with rated voltage up to 690V, rated operating current from 250A to 6300A, and frequency of 50-60Hz. Developed based on the NHXLC busway platform and adapted to domestic conditions, this series represents a new generation of fire-resistant busways. Through years of testing, trial production, and industrial trial operations, its electrical performance, fire resistance, and structural integrity have achieved technologically advanced levels by domestic standards.
